Get to Know Me
Hey, I’m Nate (aka FxyNate) — a Twitch streamer, content creator, and freelance creative based in Virginia. My Christian faith shapes how I show up in everything I do, and that includes the work I make, the brands I partner with, and the way I treat the people I work with.
I’ve spent nearly a decade working professionally in live event production, specializing in LED walls and large-scale AV. That background has sharpened my eye for detail and given me a level of technical precision that I bring into every creative project I take on. But the creative side didn’t start there — I’ve been self-taught in design and video editing since my early teens, and that obsession with making things never really switched off.
These days I channel that into streaming on Twitch, creating content, teaching other creators how to build and grow through tutorials and guides, and taking on freelance work in graphic design, motion design, video editing, and photography. I genuinely love helping people — whether that’s a brand looking for a creative partner who actually cares about the work, or a fellow creator trying to figure out how to level up their stream and content.

What I’m into
My content and creative work don’t exist in a vacuum — they’re shaped by the things I genuinely love, and that bleeds into everything I make.
On stream, you’ll find me in worlds that are whimsical, unsettling, or outright terrifying. I’m drawn to games that have a distinct visual identity and atmosphere — the kind that feel hand-crafted and intentional. Think Hollow Knight, Bioshock Infinite, Outlast, and Paper Mario: TTYD. Every October I run FxyNate’s Fright Fest, a month-long horror gaming event that’s become one of my favorite things I do as a creator.
My design style pulls from editorial layouts, grunge aesthetics, bold typography, and band and album artwork. I’ve always been more drawn to design that has some grit and personality to it than anything overly polished or corporate. That influence shows up in the overlays, graphics, and brand work I create — things that feel like they have a story behind them rather than something pulled from a template.
Music is a big part of my creative process too. My taste runs the full spectrum from worship to metal to pop, and the mood of what I’m listening to often finds its way into whatever I’m designing or editing. I also play electric guitar and recently rejoined my church’s worship team, which has been one of the more meaningful things in my life lately.
When I’m not behind a screen, I’m at home in Virginia with my wife Vanessa, our black lab Ollie, and seven chickens who have more personality than most people give chickens credit for. Vanessa and I are also building out a shared creative project together — blending my woodworking and building with her sewing — so the making never really stops around here.
